Can I book by phone?
Yes, though it will take longer and the lowest available prices are online. Our office hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 9am-3pm
What payment options are there?
You can pay using any major debit or credit card
How do I secure my unit?
You supply your own padlock, which you use to secure your storage space. We currently don’t sell these, but are looking to do this in the near future. Only you hold the key to your unit, and therefore you control who has access. If you choose to give the key to someone, that’s at your own discretion.
When can I access my unit?
Access is as simple as turning up – no appointment needed, unless you would like to visit your secure self storage out of business hours. Then this can be arranged. We are currently in the process of having key pad entry to the site to give customers more flexibility.
What can I store?
It’s probably easier to say what you can’t store.
The following items are not allowed:
- Explosives, firearms or ammunitions
- Hazardous, toxic or radioactive goods and aerosol cans
- Gas canisters e.g. for barbecues or caravan use
- Pollutants or contaminated goods
- Illegal goods
- Stolen goods
- Cash or Securities
- Jewellery, watches, furs, precious stones or metals, deeds, mobile phones, portable media / computing devices, stamps, coins or collections of any similar kind.
- Perishable goods, live animals or plants
- Waste
- Goods likely to cause vermin infestation/contamination
- We reserve the right to remove these items at any time.
- Oh and dead bodies!!!
- Other than this, it’s up to you!
Car parking?
We have plenty of parking, usually you will be able to park directly outside the facility. It is then a short walk into the facility and to your unit.
Packing and Unloading my stuff
Trolleys are also available for your use to make your move even easier.
I need boxes and packing materials. Do you sell them?
Not at the moment, but we will be reviewing this to see if it's something our customers require.
Is there anyone on site to help me unload or load my stuff?
While employees are sometimes on site, you should always plan to unload and pack your items yourself.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
No. We no longer ask customers to pay a deposit, just a month's rent upfront when you move in.
If you are an existing customer who has previously paid a deposit, it will be refunded when you move out.
What about insurance?
Your home contents policy may already provide cover – if this is the case, please bring a copy of the insurance schedule as we need to see documentary proof that appropriate cover is in place. Currently, we don’t offer insurance. It is your responsibility to provide contents insurance.
What documents do I need?
- One form of identification – Passport or driving license
- Bank Card to set up your account
- Your personal contact details, including e-mail address if available.
These are necessary in the unlikely event of an emergency situation.
